Question Decent heat/noise insulator

Hello!

I can't remember if I've asked this before, so I'll ask again.

Does anyone have a recommendation for heat and noise insulation material, for use in an engine compartment (inner fender, firewall, hood pad, etc)? If the price isn't too bad, I'll probably buy a bunch in bulk and also use it between the cab roof and the headliner on my truck.

The old engine compartment insulation in my truck is actively breaking apart, missing, or covered in battery acid, so I think I want to just replace it all while I have the engine compartment torn apart...

Thanks in advance

What search terms did you use? I tried "insulator" and "insulation" and various permutations thereof, and didn't get anything relating to what I'm looking for.

I have no idea why, but I generally don't do well with putting in the proper search terms, so I wind up never getting any results pertaining to what I'm looking for...this is yet another example, and why I wound up just asking the question anew.

Thanks again...sorry to sound like such an idiot
