Stromberg Carburetors
Hello,
Does anyone know where I can find a list of cars that use the Stromberg 175CD carburetor. I need to find the oil resevoir for one. And the Mercedes (the only one there) in the salvage yard doesn't have one, so I was wondering if there are any other cars that used one. Thank you, spencerbandit88 |

Try Volvos and Saabs through the mid 70s.

Unfortunately, Mercedes used the German Stromberg with the large ivory colored oil reservoir. The others used the British Stromberg, with a small black cap where oil was added directly into the diaphragm cover. Try MercedesShop, or the reservoir assy should still be availible from Mercedes.

Dang, there is not much for a used Mercedes parts location near me. But the salvage yard here in town has a LOT of imports.
Well thank you anyways. spencerbandit88 |

One thing about those Stromberg damper reservoirs, they get brittle with age and a used one would likely be ready to break off anyway. A couple years back, A friend got a new one for his '72 220, from our local Mercedes dealer. I think it cost about $80.
