Another preemptive war, this time against US
With all the Bush admistration current prattle about Iran, I think the US's current saber rattling broaches the threshold for Iran to wage a just pre-emptive war against US, not only in country (Iraq) but also in CONUS with a few suitcase bombs.
Perhaps Iran would concoct a coalition, say with Russia for the oil in that area, because, when the bushies say its' not about oil, we all know it is about oil. What's good for the goose is good for the gander...

Yeah, but who wants to do a deal for oil with the Russians? They should just negotiate a deal with the European Union. They could include the oil from Iraq, once Iran sets up another Islamic government in Iraq. That would be just great. We could then preemtively attack Europe! Jimh

I'm no fan of GW or the Iraq invasion, but that might be a tough one to pull off, since the vast majority of Iranians would actually welcome a U.S. invasion to depose the religious zealots running the show over there..... Iran is a strange place -- quite unlike its Mideast neighbors.
