Two points on a circle next to each other are also farthest away from each other.

You venomously support a fascist presidential candidate. You ignore the parallels between him and historical precedent, and you look forward to the persecution of a subset you despise.

Thats a dangerous mindset to be in

all your opinion. I don't see Trump as a fascist. If he were, don't you think he'd do a Bernie and admit what his beliefs are? Those who draw this parallel are being ethnically bigoted due to Trump's German heritage. It's doubtful this analogy would occur if he were saying the same things and be a different ethnicity or color.

Regarding that subset you speak of: does this mean that we can put you in the category of supporting people who want to kill americans and christians and other muslims? Great place to be don't you think? SMDH

BTW, I don't even know Trump's middle name. For fun's sake, how many times did you use the word "shrub" as a name for President George W. Bush?
His middle name is Donald....right? First name The?

I'm from German stock. Trump has more parallels to fascists and Hitler in particular than you want to admit.

How is that for "ethnically bigoted"? It has nothing to do with his being German in ethnicity, it has everything to do with his words and actions.

I've studied the rise of Hitler, specifically through the eyes of clergy in the German state. I see some pretty alarming parallels and like those who survived the war I don't want to see something similar happen again.

Look, this Hitler **** is a bunch of campaign claptrap. If you really believe that there is a parallel, I truly feel sorry for you.

there are clear parallels. That does not mean that It will end the same way.

I am pretty sure one of the big things Hitler said was he was going to make Germany great again. this must be Trumps favorite line.

Who am I supporting? If this is a "campaign claptrap" then who am I supporting? Who am I really trying to get you to vote for?

I don't know, and I don't really care. Point is someone has spread the seed of the "Trump is Hitler" ruse and it's pathetic. What's even sadder is when otherwise intelligent people are scared into believing it might be true. This is 2016, United States. Ain't gonna happen.

1. No one (to my knowledge) has said that "Trump is Hitler." I certainly haven't. What I have said is that there are plenty of parallels both in rhetoric and action. (Xenophobia, racism, nationalism, "they will listen to me", claiming Christianity and yet not demonstrating it, people getting beaten and kicked out of his rallies, etc)

2. If you saw a similar figure rising to prominence wouldn't you be a little concerned? Wouldn't you wonder why certain values are being ignored suddenly? Or is everyone to assume that because "this is the United States" that something like a regime couldn't happen here?

3. Germany was a democratic state. Hitler was elected. Hitler was not a politician, he came as an outsider. Slow and steady removal of the rights of individuals such as foreigners, Jews, clergy, Communists, homosexuals, etc happened while the country still had a congress (Reichstag).

He HAS STATED everything he wishes to do as clear as day. How many times do you need HIM to say something, and everyone else to reference it? Im getting the impression you havent listened to this guy at all.

"Ethnically bigoted"? What are you smoking? As far as im concerned trump sprang from the ground out of a NYC sidewalk, who cares what his heritage is? Its what the man is SAYING HE WANTS TO DO where everyone is getting the hitler comparisons.

Yeesh
