Sorry to bust your bubble. You know the one you have that makes you think you are the smartest person in the world.
So how were the lines at your place? If I recall correctly you live in a rather rural area. I know voting has been heavy in the cities but are there also long lines in your area?

I have found that rural areas tend to have more polling places, more parking and shorter lines than cities. In my area there are churches and civic clubs lined up to let the elections board use their buildings, and all of them have large halls, large parking lots, etc....

So... How was it?

What about Trump has changed?

By the way, this whole thing seems to be coming unraveled. I was talking to a big time Republican in Texas yesterday just after this story broke. He was giddy with joy. He was also talking about things that clearly were not real and insisting this was the total end of Hillary.

I told him so far he was getting only a carefully crafted message designed to harm Clinton. When more facts came out he would likely see there is no there there.

This morning he is somewhat depressed and is ready to toss the FBI director into the street for getting his hopes up. I told him to read the letter the FBI put out. It's the same letter; it is just that yesterday he was reading into it what he wanted to see. Today he is reading it knowing that the emails in question did not come from and were not sent to Clinton.

Therefore, from a criminal standpoint, they are hearsay and not evidence of anything.

Hillary being a walking, talking fool, does not make The Donald any more presidential.

Comparison with steaming pile of gorilla crap wouldn't make Trump look presidential.

I read in a couple of places today that the 'newly discovered' e-mails may have come from accounts which had already been examined. If that's true and was capable of being easily determined, it seems highly irresponsible to send that letter to the oversight committee.

On the other hand if this serves to clear Hillary again after a few days, it will make for a nice burst of interest just before election day.

The story I read this morning in the local paper was nearly 100% completely incomprehensible. The emails as stated do not seem to have been from or to HC nor her assistant, the Weiner's wife. It seems they are mostly about the Weiner. I could not find any there there at all.

It seems very irresponsible of the FBI to release them. It also seems irresponsible of the media to trumpet it all over. (Pun noticed but not originally intended).

Justice department officials are saying under the condition of anonymity that they warned Comey not to release the emails because it violates the FBI's practice of being impartial in elections not doing anything to swing it one way or another.

In other news, I just don't see how this will turn people from Clinton to Trump. If anything, she may lose a few votes. But he won't win any out of this. And in a weird way it's energizing dem turnout.

I think the Friday release date was a bit weird also. A Friday release is normally a way to bury a story, but in this case I think it gives it more time to stew on the pot without anything being known about it. If there is a small army of people looking at these right now, i.e. Saturday and Sunday, I would withdraw those sentiments. But I agree, if those emails have already been seen, there is software that can easily search for full sentences, full paragraphs. It's used now for spotting plagiarism.

And if the emails are new, all the more reason to have a small army of people examining them. There needs to be a decent verdict within a few days. For this to stretch beyond November 8 could make it worse than the Bush/Gore controversy.

I think you're right, the email controversy has long been part of the conversation.

Funny thing is, I'm watching Hillary giving a speech on TV, I have it on mute as I'm using that Viking voice-recognition software, I temporarily can't type , and watching her with the sound off is just odd. The body language, well, facial language is not reassuring.

Not a new thing to say, but she is far from my ideal candidate. I'll probably never see someone close to the sort of worthy leader I envision. Oh cruel world.

The only people getting excited about this are the ones already voting for Trump, as demonstrated by our resident Trumptards on this forum. Nobody is switching votes and early voting is well underway in most states. The announcement by Comey is a black eye for the FBI which most people will forget about before this election is over. Face it, nobody gives a **** and Trump will still lose by a wide margin. Outside of poor, uneducated white trash males Trump has no support.
