I have to question the intelligence and integrity of any one who would work for 45. Why would anyone subject themselves to that? It's like marrying a woman who cheated on her husband with you. She cheated and you believe that you are so special that she will not cheat on you. Ask Gingriches wives or 45's ex-wives. Do these guys actually think 45 will not turn on them in the near future?

I would guess the book deals are more lucrative as a chief of staff. But that they had to pick someone who's already a part of his administration shows they have a hard time finding new people to serve tRump.

Agreed, 44 had the best of the best from Chicago IL Emanuel, and none other than a Daley, and it only cost us 10 Trillion to the national debt.

I actually thought he only hired Priebus so he could fire him. Surprised it took him this long. R.P. now has time to work on Jebs run against President Trump in 2020.

Probably clouding with HRC as I type, also.

Yup. And Obama inherited an even stronger economy than W did and proceeded to drive it into the ground.

Clouding? I don't have much respect for guys who cloud.

According to Trump, Rience worked his ass off to get Trump elected.

Not everyone's primary motives are so transactional and mercenary; some people demonstrate their gratitude for all that this country has afforded them by sacrificing in their service to their country with out so much regard to who circumstances place in control ant any given time.

People who've serve careers in the military are particularly suited to understand and accept that there can be a greater purpose than self-interest as they experience the ebb and flow of leadership throughout their professional focus on the primary mission objective.

Based on Kelly's history of service to the country perhaps he simply thinks supporting the governance of the country in the ways he can contribute is a worthy goal despite not having everything his way?

My enemy's enemy, is my friend!

They both shared as their primary objective the prevention of Monica's boyfriend's wife from ascending to the Presidency; politics make for strange bedfellows. Preibus is a "party guy" and fairly early on must have recognized Trump for all his flaws was a contender and turned out to ultimately the only viable chance the Republicans as a party had. It turns out that was prescient of him.

Preibus is just a casualty in a long battle yet to be fully waged, he's been replaced and the conflict continues on.

Your post before this one was pretty good and then you came out with this crap. You have only the barest clue of my thinking. I've not been a big fan of Reince, then again I only vaguely knew a bout him. I developed a grudging admiration for the guy. On election night, I had a few hours of optimism - I thought the way Trump brought Priebus up onto the dais was a charming moment.

We do not yet know that Trump will have been a better choice than Hillary. Diehard Trumpers will believe that forever, come what may. But I'm not sure this preening peacock is really capable of rational thought in a crisis, or if he will be surrounded by people who work together smoothly enough to be fully effective.

Leon Panetta knows Gen Kelly. Kelly was his military aide when he was SecDef. He has a lot of respect for Kelly. " A tough Marine "
