Does anyone know how many quarts of oil goes in a 1999 Lexus RX300 engine with an oil filter change? Thanks!... Indi |

Sorry, I do not know, but someone here may be able to answer that. These are great forums. I joined them when I had my 90' Lexus LS400 and still -visit there frequently.

The '96 LS400 I work on holds six with filter. FWIW
I'm a member at one of the sites. LexusClub.com or something. I don't go there often as I do not need to much info from them.

I have an 03 highlander with the same engine. Engine holds about 5-6 quarts.

Owner's manual?
Assume even if is a used car one would order a manual so would have access to this sort of information?

Glad you mentioned that. Not sure if anyone here knows, but you can visit www.lexus.com and order a NEW owners manual for your Lexus for FREE, but you must first register your Lexus with the VIN #'s.

its a v6 3.0
i dont think it should take 6 quarts 5 should do the job for the 3.0 i miss my lexus... some pics

Have all the manuals nothing mentioned about how many quarts. Dunno why it's not in there. I just get help from friends here, Thats my next best last resort.. Thanks!... Indi
