SBC (non MB) intake manifold question
I have a '90 sbc 350 that I need to mount a pre '86 intake.
I understand the two center bolts went from 90 to 72 degrees around '86 and up. Someone said I can drill or enlongate the two holes to change the bolt angle. Is this possible? Its going into an old '66 2 ton flatbed I just use around the ranch. The bolt angle is holding me up on this project. Anyone here know? I found nothing on the web. |

Did the same when I installed the GM Crate Engine in my P.U. truck. The best way is to grind ( elongate ) the holes with a high-speed grinder. I used bees-wax to lubricate the grinding tip, or else it will plug up very quicky when grinding aluminum.

I was afraid it would not seal. Blots will not be on a flat.
I am using the old cast iron 2brl manifold from the '66 so it should drill easy. |
