Boeing Co. will build an assembly line for the 787 Dreamliner in South Carolina, reaching for the first time outside its historic Seattle manufacturing hub to set up a new commercial-plane factory.

The hand writing has been on the tarmac for a while on that one. Boeing moved its corporate offices out of Seattle a few years back. They have successfully wrung everything they could from the state and county .gov and are moving on to another place to screw the .gov & tax payers there.

You move your HQ to some other place and you bring employment there. As such, if you bring enough people there, you have more clout to ask for more concessions. When you buy 1 car, you are Mr Nobody. Buy 10 cars, you will demand a better rate than someone who buys 1 car, won't you? If so, why do you begrudge Boeing for doing the same? They move there, they bring employment. They do more for the city than to set up a small store.

Again, if you get paid more somewhere else, won't you go there? Most people would. So why begrudge them?

Why The Didn't Impeach Gov. Sanford

My grandmother was not a highly-educated woman, but she told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals. You know why? Because they breed. You're facilitating the problem. If you give an animal or a person ample food supply, they will reproduce, especially ones that don't think too much further than that, and so what you gotta do is you gotta curtail that type of behavior. They don't know any better. I was talking to a nurse the other day, and she was in the hospital delivery room of a girl that's ten years old delivering a baby. Can you imagine that? What chance does that child have with a mother that's a baby herself? Very little chance. And so I hope in the General Assembly more of you will speak up and say this political correctness is killing our country.

Now, some might not have taken offense with that homespun story . . . but you don't preface it with comments about free and reduced cost school lunch programs.
