AZ Constitution Law?

Stop UnConstitutional Federal Decrees?

Quote:
The Arizona Constitution already says the federal Constitution "is the supreme law of the land." This measure, if approved in November, it would add language saying that federal document may not be violated by any government -- including the federal government.
More to the point, it would allow Arizonans "to reject any federal action that they determine violates the United States Constitution."
That could occur through a vote of the state House and Senate with consent of the governor.
But that also could occur through a popular vote on a ballot measure, effectively allowing voters to decide which federal laws they feel infringe on Arizona's rights as a sovereign state.

Quote:
The "flagship" example, he said, is the federal Affordable Care Act. He said there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution which gives the federal government the power to enact a national health care plan.
Biltis acknowledged that the U.S. Supreme Court, faced with exactly that question, ruled to the contrary.
"I believe the Supreme Court completely got it wrong," he said. In fact, Biltis argued, the ability of the nation's high court to interpret -- and invalidate -- federal laws itself is not part of the U.S. Constitution but was claimed by the court in 1803.

Those pesky Arizonan's wanting the Federal Government to uphold the law! Who the heck are they anyway, wanting to abide by the constitution?

Since nobody else seems to care about it any more, I guess that's what puts Arizona a notch higher than most others in the country today.

A notch higher (more like 273 notches higher) on the dingbat scale, sure. Actually attempting to uphold the constitution, not so much.

Don't like to see the law enforced?

If the law is stupid, change it. Our system allows for that. While the law is still on the books, however, ENFORCE IT!

Of course Larry would pass rousing approval of this bill after having read exactly two paragraphs describing a small part of it, not after reading the actual bill. The same kind of uninformed teapublican who'll vote for it here. I guess it goes along with being apostrophically challenged.
It's nothing but a showpiece bill passed so the morons in our legislature can win votes from the dip**** bubbas who put them there. It has no teeth and is unlikely to become law, even here in Looney-Land.
It seems reasonable to me that elected officials ought to spend the time they're being paid for to solve critical issues instead of wasting time with garbage legislation like this. They claim they want responsible government. Silly me.

Unless it's a federal law that you don't happen to like, right Larry?

Now, now. You be asking Larry to be consistent. This is against all known laws of physics, the universe, and - dare I say it - scripture.

Unlike MOST Americans today, I don't have to LIKE a law to abide by it. I will abide by Obamacare. It might kill me (Obamacare that is) but I will abide by it as long as it is law. If I'm REALLY lucky it won't be law long enough to kill me.

You know NOTHING about my consistency in obeying the law. I am a law abiding citizen FAR beyond the level of most spoiled Americans today.
