My pointless exercise is less meaningful than your pointless exercise.

The photo ops are useful and it gave 5 Democrats the opportunity for some political cover in their re-election campaigns. All in all, a decent day on the Hill.

I just spoke with someone who was there last year. And, while there a friend of this someone had to have emergency surgery. Sanitation is non-existent, anesthesia is limited and the individual who had the emergency surgery came out with a very large scar which had they had the operation in the United States would not have happened.

If the Russian mafia doesn't get you, the Soviet Docs most surely will!! But, don't worry, their crap is coming here soon. take a number and wait; Dr. KillJoy will see you now.......

Now there is a point to this (meaningless) vote. Since the Supreme Court has determined that the healthcare act is, in fact, a TAX, this vote gives everyone the opportunity to stand up and take credit for the largest tax increase in history. If you love this Bill, and support it, then you should be proud to record your vote in favor, no manner how many times it comes up.
The old "Tax and Spend" is more true now, than it ever was.

Nonsense. No, ‘Obamacare’ isn’t ‘the largest tax increase in the history of the world’ (in one chart)

The soviet union doesn't exist since December of 1991.

The operating cost of congress is 2 million a day. 31 votes: 30 x 2 million dollars waisted.

Questions:

1. How accurate is that number?

2. When someone says that the overhead of say SS is very low, do they consider congress' "work" in it? Do they consider that every day congress debates something and makes a tweak here a push there, we are paying those "executives" and their staff when they figure out the overhead?
