The Folsom Street Fair..

..Is this weekend in San Francisco....

Some friends are interested and want me to go with them to check it out... Anyone ever been?

Seems like a pretty interesting gathering of people.

Yah, I have seen it.

Some time ago, my wife and I lived in the city not too terribly far away from Folsom Street where it is held, and we walked down the hill and over there to take a look.

A totally gay/lesbian/ bondage/s&m kind of thing.

Fine if you like to watch nude gay men get tied up, handcuffed, spanked and whipped "en plein air" on the street. A few topless lesbians too.

Otherwise, not worth the price of admission (which is free)

About 10 minutes of this was enough to last us a lifetime, so we left, feeling jejeune and bored.

No big deal. Meh.

And he thinks girls are repelled by him because he's a car guy. Perhaps their radar is tuned differently?

Smile If you are going to San Francisco,

Skip the Folsom Street Fair altogether, and instead, remember next month, it's Fleet Week in the City, and the Blue Angels will perform.

For those that can't make it - it's like this only better!

Funny you should mention. Some friends/neighbors of mine just left the other day to make the cross-country trek to San Fran. One of the highlights of their trip is the Fair.

Well...

It was definitely an interesting experience. I went with a group of people I hang out with (2 couples in the group is into chains and whips, and are pretty open about it). Saw some rope demonstrations, different clothing styles, etc. Overall, had a pretty good time people watching. Brought a few girls with me, and they all got a kick out of it, and even played along with it.
