Well, That doesn't fit the approved agenda.

All joking aside, Good job to the homeowner.

I imagine (and most certainly hope) that when the details come out, that this story fits the agenda quite well.

Good, responsible gun owner protects his home and family with his firearm.
As long as he wasn't using a MAC-10 or something with a 100 round drum on it, this kind of story (especially right now) can be a real benefit to the moderates of both sides.

or any other "politically" incorrect firearm. Self-defense weapons must be deemed "moderate" so that the homeowner doesn't appear to be a survivalist nut case.

glad no one other than the attackers got seriously injured. i hope he used an ar 15 or the likes. that will prove they CAN be used for home defense!

.223 travels over 3,000 fpm which means they could easily pass through the walls of his home into his neighbor's home and possibly kill an innocent. He would look like his pencil wasn't sharpened and missing a few marbles if he fired an AR15 at the intruder.

Swat teams are switching to 5.56 because the proper round has less propensity to over penetrate than 9mm.

9mm is out, HK and FN are pimping the 4.7 and 5.7 everywhere as a replacement.

The 5.7 is the cop killer, right? I hear they often can pack 20 shots into a pistol with that round.

Not enough info in the articles above to spin one way or the other I don't think.

If it was a sleepover how was it there was an 18 month old and an 18 year old as guests? (or some spread similar). Seems odd and makes me want to hear the rest of the story.

Dubyagee 12-25-2012 11:03 AM

Could be a "cop saver". I guess it depends on the news channel reporting on the story.

I doubt the bullet knows what its target is. Any bullet can kill anybody in the right circumstance.

t walgamuth 12-25-2012 11:25 AM

It is not a name I gave it. It is a name commonly given to it.

Dubyagee 12-25-2012 11:28 AM

No it is not. Just the media. Go into a gun shop and ask for a box of cop killers. See how fast they laugh at you.

t walgamuth 12-25-2012 11:44 AM

I'm laughing now.
