$450,000 G wagon

Mercedes will build 20 to 30 of these beasts a year. Perfect for the Malibu high end soccer mom or the Saudi sjeik on a mission.

Jalopnik.

I think it would be fun to drive in an off road situation like up in Alaska some where but I would not want to own one

Agreed.

Also at that price point you would be better off buying Mercedes more versatile, and better looking, option. (The 63 6x6 is more narrow but but nearly as long as a 6X6 Zetros)

A Zetros is probably $350,000 cheaper lol.

Its still amazingly bad ass, I doubt any will wind up in the US initially.

Pretty badass units. The long travel, baja suspension is pretty sick.

Though the G500 XXL looks cooler!

I suspect one might wind up in a Hollywood production soon.

It definitely has movie star/car potential, It's based on an Australian military G-wagon.

I'd like one. I'd live in it. And travel the word.

At least, I'd like to, except they opted for a gasser and high performance/luxury instead of relability and function.

Bummer.

I'd so buy one, but the stock one is well...not quite "enough".

I'd ship it to Brabus and have them put their 700hp modified V12 Bi turbo in it, plus I'd have it painted flat black with a brush guard and winch. Oh and it needs a snorkel, and 500 billion candle power LED offroad driving lights so I can blind every SOB that pisses me off, and an air horn out of a train.

Inside I'd add custom door compartments for MP5's, because why not.

I love the MOG axles underneath it.

Amazing to read this new G variant does 0-60 in only 6 sec! Cool looking truck, I'm liking it!
Things have sure come a long way since the 100hp G4 which could barely make 45mph!

Only 100hp. 0-45mph 30 seconds?

Here is an interesting read about the G4 http://www.gizmag.com/go/3663/
