Personally I think she should have been charged with attempted murder

This little witch really needs to get a clue about life. Texting while driving, she seriously injures a bicyclist, then whines about dents in her car and the inconvenience of having her license suspended.

If she were charged with attempted murder, then the potential penalties would be greater, plus it might actually make her realize what a self-involved piece of crap she is.

And she's not even an American!

These are words of a brat mommy and daddy pampered. Feel bad for the sucker that's whoop'd by her one day who marries her. You can tell what kind of broad she is already.

Isn't that kinda like asking for someone to be charged with Grand Theft Auto for stealing a copy of the game from my car so the potential penalties would be greater? I understand calling her a jerk is being kind to her but that is really a slippery slope to charge someone with a higher crime just to punish more because you don't like what her personality is.

And would that be before or after the pig flies?

Not sure what that has to do with anything

I'm in favor of the attempted murder charge. I think the same should be applied to DUI accidents. The actions were taken intentionally. They are driving a 1 ton plus vehicle that can easily kill someone. Make the penalty harsh enough and perhaps people will pay attention. I also say that if they are successful at killing someone it should be a capital offense, not manslaughter. You drank or texted and you knew that this was a dangerous action. Time to pay the piper.

If that is how you feel, fine. Change the law to that effect. What I don't agree with is charging this one person with a heavy crime and letting another skate because you like them more.

She should be strapped on the bicycle and have another motorist scare the ***** out of her and see how she responds.

This is now reason I don't like all the cell phone laws. We have had laws covering reckless driving and causing an accident on the books for years.
We do not need to proscribe exert possible behavior; just deal with the results of those behaviors

I dunno why she should have been charged with murder. There did not appear any willful attempt to kill. But clearly she was highly negligent. Unfortunately this has become fairly normal; so much so that even the judge didn’t give much by way of punishment.

Wonder if it is a babe phenomenon – if the perp is hot, give them a slap on the wrist and then try to hook up for some NSA fun.

A lot of these laws, like hate crimes, are a "Dr Feelgood" thing.

If people don't like her attitude, they want to extract the max. Like her and it is regular punishment.

How would that be NSA? I give you a light sentence and you do the nasty with me. Quid pro quo, Clarice.

^You have a point but it discourages both parties from being clingy and that’s what was implied by nsa.
