Define "Older". Sleep patterns do in fact change as folks age. Each person is different.

I would say yes. Both of my parents sleep patterns changed as they entered their 60s. Again, folks are different, however, it is well documented that as folks age, their sleep needs change.

Benadryl works for me. But 7-2 is seven hours of sleep.

So, you're getting seven (7) hours of sleep.

It's just that instead of going to bed around 11PM and getting up at 6AM for example, your pattern shifted to earlier to bed ... falling asleep 7PM and getting a 'normal' 7 or so hours of sleep. I cannot see how there's anything bad or abnormal about that. Excluding the super old, most folks are probably sleeping less than seven hours. Most folks who are in their late teens, and 20s to 40's should be getting 8 hours but probably do not get that or even able.

I generally sleep from about 1130 pm til about 700 am with a couple of nightly trips to the poddy. I wake up without an alarm.

In the last 5 years, I went from snoozing at 1-2AM and waking at 7AM to snoozing at 11PM and waking at 5AM.

I'm in the office at 6AM and can get almost everything wrapped for the day before people arrive at 8AM.
