Phone kit installed. -- pics

Installed my phone kit. It came out great. I even wired into the factory fader switch, the cell phone speaker in the dash, and the motorola speaker. I can use either one or both. very cool.

Anyway, here are the pics. The handset for the phone kit sits in the factory location. In fact the holder for the phone handset is identical to the holder for the factory motorola phone. so I was able to use the factory handset bracket too. I placed the brain under the center console. The antenna is in the upper right corner of the windshield. The wireless holder is next to the radio. I mounted it there for easy access. It has a coil cord too that plugs into the phone to charge it and interface it with the handset and speakerphone.

The mic is mounted to the bottom of the factory cell phone mic area. I can adjust the mic to point more at me and to the center as needed.

Came out great, and works like a charm. It also looks great installed!

Alon

Cool! Very clean install, nice job!

Is the the factory Altoids compartment? I keep my cinnamon-flavored Altoids in a custom burlwood breath mint compartment...see Phil for details..

dan its vinly wood look laminate. Search for vinyl sticker on ebay you should ocme up with it. Its not too expensive for a huge roll. I covered the radio in it.

My next step is to destroy the center console wood. hehe Since its already cracked to hell, I'm going to sand it so its smooth and apply some of this vinyl laminate but in an aluminum silver finish to it. Should look very sporty if it comes out right, otherwise I'll be doing more sanding and then some staining and refinishing of the console wood.

You may think I'm nuts, but I've seen people use the carbon fiber stuff and it works well.

Search for vinyl sign plotter or vinyl sign roll. You hsould ocme up with many different kinds. they have carbon fibre, black, silver, wood, and all sorts of colors.

Man do I want one of those printers to cut them though ehhe that would be sweet. be able to plot images and have the printer cut them out as stickers for you instead of printing an image it cuts them.

Ohh and the altoids tin is a must have hehe holds my mints, and fits quite nicely.

its a motorola startac kit. compatible with most all startacs as far as I know. I'll look at the box it came in.

I can also get you a price from my cell phone guy if you want.

I was lucky enough to get it as a gift.
