Air conditioning/Heating dial in 94 E320
I love my benz, but what the hell is the deal with the ultra-cheasy looking and plasticky dial for the heat and air? You know the one, with the red, white, and blue colors on the STICKER that is on the plastic dial to control the air temp of the AC......is there any sort of replacement for this, something that might look a little more classy, refined, and mercedes-like?

That thing isn't that bad. An issue I would like to bring up are the "Motorhome quality" HVAC dash vents in my early 126. They don't operate fluidly and are of a horrid design. The dash vents in a late 80s Volvo 740 (which has an otherwise hard-plasticy interior) are MUCH MUCH better designed and more refined by comparison.
Even W126s have a few cheap-feeling parts in their interiors. -Sam |

I never complained about my 500's a/c setup I think they are great. It's better than the basic a/c controls of the w126. I'm sure if you wanted to you could make your own replacements but I don't think anybody makes anything diffrent.

To me the worst in the 126 is the visor mirror covers, the one where you open to see the mirror. They are cheap plastic parts and both of mine are broken.
