what exactly do I multiply by to get from miles to kms?
I do 500km a week at most but usually 400km. Is that average or above or below average?

Howdy All,
Quarter mile to work 5 or 6 days and one trip a week to town that can cover about 60 miles. When running season for the dogs is going I can put in another 400 + miles a week.

Slightly over 400km a week, the tank would normally be topped off with about 40 litres of 98RON.

****, I just worked it out in GBP
I just worked out that if I do 900 miles a week it works out to almost £160 or $250, (I am glad the prices have gone down). Now tomorrow I am driving 900 mile to the south of France but at least the petrol is a bit cheaper in France.
The reason we put up with it is because we are so timid to protest, we did it once and the British Government shat its collective self. We are stuck as well. we get taxed so that we use public transport but as an example, I travel 60 miles from the countryside into London, I need to go 12 miles to catch a train so I need a bus that does not run early enogh so I use my car. Sometimes the carpark is full so I have to drive to the next station. The train takes 60-65 minuts THEN I need to catch a taxi or three tube trains. By then it is time to go to lunch. It is cheaper for me to frive a 5.6 litre car than to use public transport and I get to work in time to do some work. I know you American always say Britain is quaint but when you live here your opinion changes to antiquated. On day I will visit the US again and take a holiday driving so as to enjoy the cheap petrol. Regards, Chris. |
