WE ARE OPEN!!!
15 inches of new snow has fallen in the past 24 hours....with lot's more on the way! With this last blast of snow we're good to go for opening today. Green Valley, along with the front side and the Discovery beginner area will open at 9am. Lift ticket rates are subject to change as more terrain becomes available.

Isn't this about the earliest opening we've had for several years now?

If my fuzzy memory serves, 98 was the last early open. I was stopped by a State Patrol, but not cited, on the way up

Awsome! I can't wait for the Skiing to really open in my area. Killington has a few trails open but the conditions are bad.

I think we're in for a good one this year. We haven't had snow in the Seattle area in November for several years, let alone up in the mountains.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Yeah, I even bought a snow plow blade for my lawn tractor and dang it i wanna use it! 'course there is the issue of getting it out of the box and on the lawn tractor.

Plus I really enjoyed riding my bike on snow and ice last year. I'm planning on doing that this weekend! Woo Ho! Bring it on!!!!!!

Is the snow you're getting up North sticking around? We got about 2" this morning, but it's melting pretty fast.

The Chehalis River and Independence Creek (runs through our property) will probably be flooding by this time tomorrow if it keeps up at this pace.

We didn't get anymore last night. What we got yesterday has mostly melted off. You guys down south got hit alot harder than we did. Kinda strange. Usually the other way around.

So do I. Your state patrol doesn't play fair with the lidar revenue collectors, and hidden cars. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry when I was driving through that state last week.

Today we got about 2’ of snow in the low lands, and 4000 feet above us, another 7 as illustrated in the photo above. I predict a near record snow pack this year. Sniff, even though skiing is the first love of my life, I'm really gonna miss hiking in the high alpine area.
