Lots of new faces

Hello guys,

It's been quite a while since I posted here and I thought I would check in and say hello.

I notice a lot of new faces and a lot of people who are not here anymore.

First of all I would like to thank all the fine folks here who have been sending me email greetings.
(you know who you are)

I am very happy to have good friends like you and your support has meant a lot to me.

I hope to be around a little more and chat with you guys and in the meantime I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Good day to you TxBill

I hope life finds you well.....

I have posted on other forums and am posting here at the request, and invitation (believe it or not) of some of your members.

I have quite a few friends here and on many other forums and I am glad to be back here.

So Bill relax sit back and lets talk about Mercedes-Benz, which is what brings us to this board in the first place.

Merry Christmas to you, I wish you all the best.

PS. Thanks for the welcome back

Guys relax,

I'm just here to say Hi,

I received some PM's from here and I thought I would answer them and while I was at it say hello.

I was asked to come back and say hello, so here I am

I am on lots of forums including my own and my signature is always the same. I don't think you guys have anything to worry about from a tiny little site like ours. We only had about 300 at our peak when we unfortunately lost our site. Bad cgi scripts I guess, we should have learned from you guys and used PHP.

We like things small and the main reason I come to this site is to look at your technical information. Remember I said I did not post, I never said I did not read the posts

Anyways just take it for what it is a friendly Hello.

Has your older brother ever beaten on you?
Once you leave you still end up missing him don't you?
I guess you still come back for family reunions don't you ? :p

He He He this is such a serious place, you guys should just have more fun.

I'm heading to the car show in January and I'm really looking forward to coming to the States, I'm like a kid in a candy store.

We have the Toronto car show here but it cannot compare to yours. I'm going to take lots of pictures to post, who knows maybe I will even post some here.

PS. Hello to you too Spock - Thanks for the welcome back

Let me appologize on behalf of some of our more assertive members. I for one am very glad MBCanada is back up. Certain responses here just continue to prove certain things, but I'll not beat a dead horse anymore.

Hey rickg,

Fancy meeting you here

I have some good news, we are actually getting the smart this coming April in Canada.

That is the very first time we are getting a model before the US does.

I will let you guys know what I think as soon as I test drive one.
I managed to get a hold of one of the previous generation ones and I made the six o'clock news. It was funny to watch hundreds of people crowded around the car. The kids thought it was a little go cart.

The ones were getting in April are the new generation.

Maybe the safty feature is that it'll just bounce off anything that hits it instead of crushing. Hmmmm....no crush zone.

It is a fact that 95% of all trips are made by one driver.

This is an ideal second car to drive to the store with or to take to school. It is not meant to be a big people mover.

The price will put it in Honda Civic range and the chassis will be based on a Mitsubishi.

That doesn't bode well for it. I'm not overly impressed with Mitsubishi build quality.

He He Paul

You have to remember that we will be getting a bigger and better version of this car, much nicer to look at too.

I will post a picture as soon as I get one.

PS. By the way, they can only get away with incredibly weird colors like this in Europe. We have much more sedate tastes.

Almost forgot

Don't forget that Smart is a complete model line and not just one particular car.
Some of them are pretty cool.

I saw the 4-door over at MBCanada. That's one that might sell fairly well here. And the coupe too.
