I think the entire thing can be summed up by one of the humorous responses that was posted.

Hey Everyone, I'm concerned my girlfriend is spending too much money on fabrics, buttons, etc trying to design the perfect dress. Since she is draining her bank account on these items, does anyone know of a supplier that sells cheaper fabrics or prints? If not, do you think she should start a new project and abandon this one for financial reasons? Thanks everyone for the help!

We all have our hobbies both men and woman. We should all support our loved ones in their endeavors as long as they aren't destructive or life consuming (Alcohol or video game addiction for example) For example the diesel 'obsession' is quite prevalent around here. Whichever girl ends up dating Hattie will have to deal with his arsenal You don't have to like their hobbies....just try to show a little support. I think the #2 poster was wrong to demand so much from the woman in question. Some woman will do such things as helping with tools and the actual work, that's fine. I'd be forever grateful if a girl just brought me something to eat or drink while working on the car, I wouldn't ask or want more.

Just a little side note in respect to things going viral....that page has gotten 700,000 views in 9 days! The best peachparts can do (Sadly) is the pretty girls thread, 225,000 views over 6 years

Classic! I have seen a number of guys get their lives sucked away from them by women. Than 20 years later come mid to late 40's they realize they forgot to enjoy their youth, go nuts, get divorced etc.

A relationship is a two way street, some people don't understand that. Some women feel the need to try to "change" the guy and some guys are stupid enough to go along with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it backfires. Like one of my friends who is no longer allowed out past 10 or without his GF permanently attached to him. Instead of going out by himself to hang out with the guys she insists on coming, being miserable and complaining. He is just as much to blame for letting it happen.

I cut one relationship short, if you can call it that we only got to the 3rd date because it became obvious she was one of these. She had no interests outside of work, or shopping and was insistent that I call her every 5 min. That was it for me.

Poster number two is a chauvinistic pig. He doesn't have a clue what a good woman is.... so he'll probably die lonely and still very insecure.

No. I thought it captured a certain kind of male/female relationship pretty common in our world.

Well he went way overboard but I think there is a valid point in there which basically is that she should let him go his way with the jeep.

The fellow who said the second poster will never have a decent woman may be very right as well.

The thing about her helping him rebuild the jeep well, that slipped into the second poster's fantasy woman!

My wife is pretty great but she never helps with any of my man projects unless I need someone to steer while I push a car into the garage or pump the brakes while I bleed. She will on occasion come out with a cup of coffee too.

She has even helped me rope tow on occasion but she really doesn't like doing that at all!

OK, I guess I interpreted the statement to mean something else. My mistake.
