I was visiting Portland last week from Canada. I was looking at getting the A/C repaired and a general servicing for my 1989 300E while I was there. I choose to do this at MBI Motors because of the recommendations from others about MBI. Well, MBI deserves their fine reputation. I was expecting to do an A/C condenser replacement (dealer recommended) but a pressure test revealed no leaks at all. MBI added refrigerant and all was working as it should. MBI found that the O2 sensor was "toast" and therefore replaced. Since I had some room in my budget I went ahead with their recommendation to replace the exhaust resonator (the middle one). I was very pleased with their service.

I drove about 1000 km there and another 1000 km back. Going there my fuel consumption was about 8.5 km/l (24 mi/Igal) and return was 11 km/l (31 mi/Igal) - a big difference. My complaints of poor fuel economy and dealer servicing for almost 2 years didn't improve anything. One visit at MBI improved fuel economy significantly. The car didn't miss a beat at all.

The MBI shop had nothing but Benzes - from the 50's to the 90's. Obviously supported by MB owners.

As you can read - I was extremely well served. I thoroughly recommend MBI Motors.
