93 MBZ 2.5 Turbo Diesel
I was driving around town(Seattle) and I proceed home. I turned off the car. I came back 15 minutes later and got in and it wouldn't start or even turn over. No solenoid clicking, nothing. I thought it was the security system on the car, but the light was not blinking so the security system had not been activated.
I turn the key and nothing happens. I have checked the fuses and all are good. I have opened and closed all doors, trunk lid, engine hood, skylight, etc. and I get nothing. Lights and all electrical work fine. I really need some help in trying to solve the problem. I have considered the fusible link at the firewall to see if perhaps that has blown. Thanks Lasse |

124.128 Chassis? (AKA 300D ?)
How tight and clean are your Battery connections?
How tight and clean is your Engine to Chassis Grounding Strap? How tight and clean are your Starter wiring connections? How old's your Battery ? When was the last time you had it "Load Tested" (AZ,Advance ,Etc.,Etc.will test the battery and alternator for free.) If your Battery and all the other connections are good the Redneck Test of the Starter is to have an assistant turn the key whilst you whack the Starter with a SMALL hammer. All kinds of entertainments to be had with "Electrics". Order of probability: !. Connection(s). 2. Battery. [I'll throw Alternator Dis-Functions in this category,as a Bonus] 3.Starter. 4.Electrical Portion of the Ignition Switch.
