Mercedes '98 C230 W202 Coilovers or Lowering Springs??

Hello all.. I'm looking for a good set of coilovers for a Mercedes W202 C230.. Anybody know where I can find either a used set in good condition or a new set for a decent price.. I'm trying to get at least a 1.5"-2" drop in back and a 2.5"-3" drop in front.. Do you think I can accomplish that with just a set of lowering springs??.. I mean, coilovers would be my ultimate goal, but I'm strapped on cash until next tax season.. Had to pay bills and only have $600 leftover, so if I could close my wheel gaps (especially the front) with just a set of springs, that would be optimal for me at this time.. Thoughts??

This picture doesn't do the front wheel gap justice since its parked in my slanted driveway, pushing weight to the front of the car, closing the gap by about 1".

The other pic is a photoshopped to what I'd like my stance to be on this car... Well, maybe not quite that low, but definitely no gaps

Yes those wheel gaps in the top picture are just heinous, you should have gone with 2" larger diameter wheels--and less tire sidewall- those 1.5" sidewalls are waaay too much

They're 18 inch wheels on a compact W202.. I wanted to leave room to put it closer to the ground.. 20 inch wheels on and turning would become an issues.. 19's would've been nice, i guess.. But I got good deal on these wheels from a friend in Florida.. They're two piece staggered wheels which are rare where I live.. I just need to close my gaps
