Torque Spec M104 C36 specifically

What is the torque spec for the C36 (M104) Exhaust Manafold to Head nuts?

I found the torque for the exhaust manafold to the exhaust flanges is 30 NM?

I looked in my w124 service manual library under 1995 E320 because the engine is basically the same.

Anyone with the specs let me know.

Austin

Dont Lie Specify!

Austin. Look in the microfice. Library. For the spedcifc engine. In the mechanical fich. If you find the exact engine no# get it from the casting on the block. Then you can cross refrence it. All that and more is on the microfilms. See if you have under all the manuals. A TDM they are great to have. Technical data manuals Guidos out

I checked my TDM and it wasn't listed. I have had this before on a few different MB engines where they don't give a torque spec. As far as that goes I didn't see it listed for the intake either, maybe it'd be given in the work information. The one I did I just used 20nm, I thought that would be appropriate for the size fastener (M8 I believe) and I at least wanted to make sure it was a uniform tightness.
Where'd you find the torque value Austin?

Gilly,

I looked in the w124 service manual library under a 1995 E320. I found the torque specs for the exhaust flanges to the exhaust manafolds with the bolts of 30NM. Since those are the same size, I figured it would be the same because I could not find any specific torque specs for the exhaust manafold to head nuts.
