I recently washed my 190's engine and afterwards the (aux) fan stayed on this is the fan infront of the fan clutch. What did i do and how can i correct it?

There is a blue plastic temperature switch on the cylinder head near the air cleaner. You got water in it. Usually the problem will go away after driving a while. If not, unplug it and blow out the connector with compressed air.
