NOS for W126

Does anyone have experience with the addition of an NOS system to a W126 560 SEL???

Chris

The guys at Bergwerks have been looking at a system for the W126's for a while now. They have already done a kit for the W124 V8's.

Hey

Hello Mattman, god to get a reply from you of all people. You were the inspiration for my 560, after seeing your car I got 17" Monoblocks, euro headlights, clear turn signals and H&R springs. What a difference!

How did you go about the 1st gear start?

I am looking into a wet NOS set-up, I looked into the bergwerks stuff and spoke to them, they seem to have abandoned the CIS cars as the fuel enrichment was too difficult and the demand too low. Superchargedsec seemed to have some insight in this area but I could never get a clear answer.

I'm not sure what you mean by that?

The first gear start kit from Bergwerks is excellent, well worth the little money they charge for it.

Jim, I think Chris means that you have alluded to fuel enrichment for your supercharger project a number of times but Chris isn't 100% sure how you achieved it.

Chris, Jim's method of enrichment isn't suitable for the on demand NOS system you are after. Probably the easiest way would be to mount an additional injector controlled by an aftermarket computer - the sort of thing the import turbo guys use.

Matt.

The previous owner of my car ran NOS by using a Fogger that also sprayed fuel. But the conclusion is it is only safe if you are already going fast (i.e. top speed runs) because the fuel would get trapped going down the intake.

pull the EHA valve, take the screw off the back cover, in there is a 3mm hex (maybe smaller) turning that to the right increases the differential pressure b/w the two chambers in the FD thus enrichening the mixture. Problem is, it's static:-/

Small turns make a big difference btw...although I think jim has his scrwed in about 7X around; then again he's at the 400HP mark..!
