anybody here driven a Shifter Kart? 0-60 in under 4 sec, top speed above 120, and 2.5G's sounds real tempting for $8k.

Thanks

Checkout karting on any search engine. Here are some to start with: http://www.muller.net/karting/index.html , http://www.nkn.com/ .

Also, it may be of interest that most of Europe's Formula 1 driver's practice on these very karts to stay sharp. I haven't tryed karting yet but am thinking about it next season.

BTW, you can find good deals on used karts and go racing for the season for as little as 5-6k including the kart.

GREAT PHOTO!!! what engine are you running? As for info, i like the sites mentioned above and SKUSA.com too. There is a track @ West Hampton LI NY that i'm going to get info on and see if they rent KARTS. I'll post my findings.

I don't know? i like the open wheel carts where you sit upright and the fuel tank is below the steering wheel. I'm dreaming of 125cc 6 speed shifter KART. I'd like pull 2.5 g's, go 0-60 in under 4, and have a grand old time!!! If you can give me info i'd be appreciative. I know nothing about this sport yet.

Noah,

I'm afraid I'm just learning about the sport myself and have no practical experience. I'm am interested in racing next year however. Found this, hope it steers you in the right direction, http://www.muller.net/karting/docs/faqs/faqs.html
P.S. Hope you have a truck to transport the Kart and equipment.
