Once Upon A Time

When my W124030 was new, It was my soft chair rocket. It was fast, and I wound not pass a chance to show fellow drivers that. That was in 1987, 6 years later that old tub started to show me it might make 100,000 miles if I let my foot off of the throttle. And 12 years have passed and I'm thinking the light throttle might give me 200,000 miles. Today it made 169,054 miles. Oh it still runs strong, but not as frequent as in His youth. We always read that when buying a used Benz from Germany, there is a good chance that a cylinder head service is probable, resulting from the high combustion chamber pressure. This comes from full throttle driving. Well I'm trying to drive with low Chamber pressure. Here's looking ahead towards 200K, about 2004? Happy Trails Beep Beep from El Cheapo(the chicken)Houston.

Hey guys I am not the one asking how to race all I was asking is how do you guy's keep so cool under such races. It appears that you never get pulled over by cops. I have read many a account that Lee, and his 500E have obliterated many a vett, and how you others have done very similar with your cars. Oh AND I REALLY LOVE HEARING ABOuT THESE RACES. I really do like to read about them. I watch racing on T>v and read aobut it , but I like it best when I read about MBZ 's taking out other cars I have raced only once and gotten up to speeds of 70 mph at a desolate area : as Zrunsy suggested OceanParkway and the Loop Parkway. As a matter of fact sometimes I feel really pissed off when a little prick in a Honda etc messes with me. I really want to drop the hammer sometimes however I don't. They later laugh and feel like they are all so powerful. I hate that and want it to end.

P.S Agron80, I am in Nassau County, in Oceanside, sure lets meet up.

Permission To Come Aboard

CaptAlex300E, it was always told me it's better to be p--- Off than P--- On. Let those little Rice Rockets have their fun, at less than 100K miles they will be recycled. Happy Trails Beep Beep from ole pokey Houston.
