Schatz Springs?
I see that Performance Products has Schatz lowering springs in their catalog. Has anybody ever heard of these? I did a search and can't find any info on them. Would Eibach be a better choice?

I'd go w/ H&R, have heard some not so glowing reviews of Eibach's.
I have installed H&R's on about 10 MB's now w/ Excellent results. Jonathan

German stuff is cool (Schatz)
In the Performance catalogue, it says that a German manufacturer makes the springs for "Schatz". As far as I know, both Eibach and H&R are German companies. I suppose either manufacturer may be making the springs for "Schatz".
The general consensus is that the Eibachs are a little more comfortable than the H&Rs and the Eibachs don’t lower the car as much as the H&Rs. I think the differences in the amount of lowering may be quite subtle, maybe only one quarter or one half of an inch difference. I think it is safe to say that both manufacturers are very highly regarded and spring sets from either manufacturer would be of top quality. I know that Eibach has made some AMG-badged parts. It may also be true that at times AMG used H&R, although I have not actually seen any reference that supports that fact. H&R springs with Bilstein Sport shocks does seem to be the most common application on the W124, although there may be just as many people using the Eibachs with Bilstein Sport shocks. “Not stiff enough” is the most frequent “negative” comment I have read about the Eibachs, but your tastes may not coincide with those that made those remarks. I think either combination would be a good choice, if you decide to go down the lowering road. I like my Eibachs and I am glad that my car is not any stiffer or any lower. The lower you go the more problems you are likely to have with your alignment. Not everyone has complaints about their alignments, but most reasonable people seem to admit to having some kind of an issue when they lower their cars. I would plan on getting adjustable camber arms or K-MAC eccentric rear bushings, if you chose to install either spring set on your W124. Lower and stiffer isn’t always better, although I like mine.
