What next for my 300CE

My 91 CE needs some more modifications; it is black, I have 18 inch wheels and illegal dark tint and it looks good as it is, but it needs a few things. I have lowering and the black body kit (the one to get all of that stupid grey plastic off) in mind and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for brands or where to get this stuff...I don't really care about the brand name or anything, just that it is decent. I'll post some pictures when I get home from work and maybe that will help you all decide on what this beast needs.

Thanks guys

Leighton

For suspension you can thank gsxr for this:

http://www.meimann.com/images/mercedes/W124_stuff/

and his website:

http://www.w124performance.com/images/

Go through this and write down your questions. Don't worry, there's a wealth of information on this subject and many people here have great solutions.

Don't forget to post some pics of your ride!

If you decide not to do a bodykit, you can just monotone allt he gray on your car and it will look much nicer - this was before my bodykit and before my euro lights.

The doors are 5.5 inches, i think, I managed to find a way to get 6.5" in. The front and rear I believe are 4" or 4.5", I used 4.5", and the rears have tweeters, but they can be bigger quite easily if you want to fiddle around and make something fit. They should be replaced anyway, they're not very good, IMHO.

you can fit 6.5" in the doors, and 5.25" in the rear deck.

The dash is an awkward size, so I just put tweeter int he dash..

Unless it is taped on, which I doubt, I suppose you will have to gently wet-sand it and then polish the pain.... others might know better.

You can upload pictures using this site:
http://www.imageshack.us

Try it and if you need more help let me know.

Car looks great! Are those 17" with 215/45/17 ? What suspension do you have? Your car looks like it's riding on Bilstein Heavy Duty for some reason with factory springs.

The pinstripe looks like the sticker type and you should be able to remove it quite easily...for your friend at the paint shop. Not to be rude....If it were my car, I'd remove it.

I think if you get realistic with your boost level needs you may find a T3 more suitible.....faster spool up............

If you plane on building ht eengine to take 28psi boost on racing gas then the T4 might make more sense in my mind..........

Track ony = T4

Street = T3

IMHO

They are actually 18s, with 225/40s on it, I had to go 225 unfortunately because I had a BMW 3 series before this and I put 245s on the back and 225s on the front and could not rotate which = big pain in the ass...SoI just went skinny all the way around. I am not sure what kind of suspension I have on there, but I really need some lowering springs because it now has a huge gap after I went the plus size wheels. I asked earlier if anyone had any idea of some cheaper springs but no one really suggested any brand names that I could go look for.
About that ugly stripe, I have been wanting to take that damn thing off since I bought this car. I looked at it closely after I got my tint because that made it really stick out, and it looked like it was a sticker, but when I ran my fingernail over it, it didn't seem like it would come off to easily. If anyone has any good ideas for taking this thing off myself I would be happy to hear them seeing as I want this thing to be a mean-looking show car (without any granny pinstripes on the side).

Much appreciated,
Leighton

I like Eibach springs myself. Others also like H&R. I don't like anything cheap. I'd rather wait and get the right parts the first time.

225 40 18... They look great on your car. How many miles do you think you can get out of those tires? What speed rating are they?
