Either than RennTech, does anyone have information and part sources to bore & stroke a M103 engine?

I'm considering this BEFORE supercharging.

If your plan is to use forced induction, then I assume you don't plan to raise your compression when you increase your displacement?

I know that Renntech has some different modifications available for the 103 engine. I remember seeing a 190 2.6 with a Renntech 3.6 liter stroker conversion at the track a couple of years ago.

I think their website it http://www.renntechmercedes.com

You can get info on supercharging from Vortec, Powerdyne, and maybe Paxton. All of these companies offer centrifugal superchargers for various applications. I;m shure that a good tech/fabricator could make an appropriate mounting bracket and set up a custom system. Of course mods like this are not cheap, but they can be done.

I was not clear in my original post.

I'm considering increasing displacement & compression ratio INSTEAD of supercharging the stock M103 engine.

So, does anyone know of a different source than RennTech for a bore & stroker kit for the M103?

You could try this place in AZ, http://www.motorsportconcepts.net/ , or out of the country, Kleeman is making a name (yet to see any product for North Amerrica), http://www.kleemann.dk/ , they do have stroker kits with McClaren internals, so that should be good enough .

Good Luck!

Aside from Renntech there is Brabus (very snooty about tuning non current chassis cars), Lorinser, Carlsson, and AMG. All of them will be in approx the same ballpark as Renntech though.

Problem is that you will run into the limits of what the drivetrain can take on a daily basis. This is especially true on a higher mileage car.

That said, I'd LOVE to see what a 400E with a 3.xx rear diff and prototype Jackson supercharger would do...

Hope this helps...Lee

www.bekkers.com has a kit that does 3.2 Lts and you can choose the compresion between regular compresion or low for forced induction.

good luck and keep us posted

Unfortunately the kit that Bekkers carries is ONLY for the 2.6-16V 4-cylinder.

Unless, of course, you know something I don't . . .

It may not be in their catalog yet, but I know that Jos Bekkers was working on having some various comp & bore pistons made for the 103 engine. Also, you may want to call Mike at potomac for advice on building a stroker using OEM stuff. He has (had) a 190 with a 3.4 liter in it that he built a while back.
