Currently in Crazy Benz Country.

Haven't posted for a while here. been mostly hanging in the 190rev forums.

Currently living in Thailand. Land of all the crazy Mercedes cars. working on parts to better the MB line.
Rear Camber Arms (done)
C220 Turbo Kit (done)
M102 Turbo Kit
M104 Turbo parts
Rear Diff Conversions (for W201 and W124)
Transmission Conversions (5/6 speed Manual)

Most of the MBcars here have engine swaps for performance (Toyota 2JZE Turbo). I went to several of my old friends here who do Genuine MB stuff and there are a few heavy modded cars we only dream of in the US.
1. 190e with M119 engine auto trans & MB rear diff.
2. 300e with Lambo doors and twin turbos on a M104 but the trans is a Supra 6 speed and the rear diff is a 300ZX with LSD.
3. Lotus Esprit with a 2.5L-16V M102 (Colin Chapman would have a cow!)
4. 300ce with the 12 cylinder 600SL motor and a Koenig style kit!
and so many more...

I'll post some pics up soon!

It's all relative . . . North Americans could have the work done . . . provided you had nearly unlimited access to cut up front and rear clips that result from Japan's notoriously strict and expensive vehicle inspection/repairs . . . and had a pool of machinist, mechanics and heavy lifters that work for the equivalent of a McDonalds Big Mac meal per day.

Went by my friends shop who does all the engine swaps. Low and Behold he was doing a W126! Installing a Toyota 2JZ-GTE and was adding parts to get 350HP. He told me the car was a pimp mobile with 20" rims and when it is on the ground it has 4" of clearence.
So basically the V8 he replaced sucked gas and had no power, now this lucky customer will get double the power and 50% better gas milage.

If anyone with a M102 M103 or M104 interested in converting to 5/6-speed let me know. I got some new tricks up my sleeve.

I'm interested in a 6 speed. But I dont really have any money right now.... Still interested in these tricks tho...? Funny cus, this was just on here a little while ago, someone said why not a 6 speed on a 104 or 103 (something)? He got a reply cant do it. I said why not? Thinking of adapters and such. But I got the same response, nope it dont bolt up skippy.

Speedtek,
Okay, I seriously seed some options to beef up my drivetrain. I'm giong for 450HP at the wheels. I am currently building up a 722.3 auto with tight clearances, shift kit, custom torque converter as well as adding friction disks and plates to my clutch packs. I need help with sending this power from the driveshaft to the wheels.

I would like to go with something around a 3.27 rear end (I like this gearing combo) Must Be Limited Slip! I also need stronger links and stronger axle shafts. Any tips you have or parts I can buy for strengthening the sub-assy would be great.

Also,, What is the max HP I can push through my stock M103 crank??? This seems to be the weakest link in my engine project since everything else is basically custom. I do plan on having the crank as well as many other parts cryo treated for the extra safety margin.

Do you happen to have those custom turbo head gaskets yet? If so, please sell me two!

This project is comming togather fast now and I need to analyze my options ASAP!
Thanks A Lot!!
Adam

I have a C36 twin turbo. I am interested. It will need to handle a little over 400 hp normally and more on the weekends if you know what I mean. It will be September before I can do anything about it but it would be nice to know amount of time + money involved.

On the stock C36 they used a crank from a 350 SD turbo diesel so it is definitely something to look at.

Yes, I'm farmilliar with that. They did it to increase displacement by lengthening stroke. I beleave they used C280 M104 rods as well.
Thanks,
Adam
