Tell me what you had done. I know the body kit is new since I looked at your car last. AMG? I have been going to your site but there is no section for your car. Are you going to make one? http://www.geocities.com/joey_joey_joey/ Looks great, keep up the modifications. Later, Scott

VERY NICE VEHICLE!!

Is it a silver or smoke-silver colored car (hard to see at the pictures)? What did you do with the rubber trims between fenders and skirts?...this is not the MB solution, is it?
I presume that you still have to mount the beamers and panels (in front of the towing eye) in the front bumper...

You left out the AMG chromate finish on bumpers and door-/fender trims as well, makes the car look sportier I think.

Very nice wheels as well, though hard to keep clean, 18"?

Keep up the good work, greetingz;

Thanks for the comps guys. The site http://www.geocities.com/joey_joey_joey is no longer being updated. Im using http://www.geocities.com/joeyandmona/autos/benz from now on. also my email has changed to joeyandmona@yahoo.com

As far as the install of the kit:
It is an AMG replica (faux) so certain parts that would be on a real C36 are not present. But that wasnt why I choose this kit, to replicate a C36. I just like the lines of the body kit.

The side skirts did not mate up to the original body of the car (read: bad kit) so the guys at the shop used their creative ideas to mount the sideskirts.

I for one am impressed by the installation. I like the black board on the sides and gives a different look to the kit.

The kit is missing the C36 tow hook covers and fog lights. I plan on sourcing those at a later date.

I am planing to install an Eisenmann exhaust as well as powerder coating the rims anthrite or gun metal.

Im working on a site for this and it should be up by tonight.

thanks for the kind words.

One more note: The chrome trim around the door molding and bumpers was not avaiable on my car as it is a sport model. So instead of purchasing these I decided to leave it monochorm, which i feel suits this car well.

Scott: Thanks for the link. I do, however, know about the site. Jon, silver kompressor, is in real life a friend of mines.

roas: still remember my old sig huh. anyone see paul around?

I was informed on another site that the lower C36 door trim would cover up the black belt line but i have to see how much it cost. i've already spent money this week on this.

engine mods are in the plans.

So it is a replica kit...I didn't see any difference; replicating the kit is well done.
I bought a set of used AMG bumpers and skirts, which cost me about $500,- (including the tow hook covers and lights, which are not fog lights by the way).
Original AMG side skirts do not mate the fenders either; the skirts are just stuck on the bottom of the fenders by AMG, so that is replicated as well...(read: GOOD kit).

I have my bumper lights renewed several times now (broken by road-use) and they cost me about $50 each (used and original mercedes/AMG). I probably can get some tow covers as well; maybe it is still financial interesting to send them over from the Netherlands (I don't know what you need to pay for it in the states).
The chrome trims weren't available on my car either as it was a "classic" model. I left them out because I find chrome not to be sporty...

Have you ever considered changing the taillights into "98 ones? It will look very well in combination with that color!

Keep us updated about the website!

greetingz,

I am still working on my web site (but spend to much time on this forum...) and want to spend a page about this topic with included pictures. I am already halfway with the C250D part of my site and will make some additional pictures next saturday to complete some of the texts.
As soon as I have the C-part completed I will publish the page and let you know were to find the wiper info.

greetingz,

Yup its a replica kit made out of fibreglass. It only cost me $500USD for the kit. Not bad for me as I dont have tons of cash laying around.
