......YEP...I did MY (WIFES) 203 C COUPE and I did a before run on the dyno and a AFTER run and picked up 30HP( PEAK) the c coupe runs sooooo much better after the UPSOLUTE software was installed(compared to renntech at 2000.00 ) the 325.00 is a BARGAIN!!


Renntech makes a chip for a C Coupe??? Last I checked they didn't have one. Where'd you get a $2000 price for the non existant REnntech chip?

Question? How does UPSOLUTE open the sealed Seimens unit without destrying the box? I can't seem to figure that out.

The chiped absoulte car only produced about 193 hp that's not even close to the 30 hp gain claimed. Let me help with the math max power 163.2 X1.18=192.57 (useing 18 % loss as a factor).

Don't know whats in your C Coupe, but mine has sem 4 ....and the unit can not be opened. Unless you use a pry bar! Good luck.

FAST MB...I HAD the M.E. control unit out and OPENED it SEVERAL TIMES with UPSOLUTE 1 to read the flash chip 2 to reprogram the M.E. control unit and 3 to reinstall the FINAL UPSOLUTE
software change as I USED DUCT TAPE ON THE CONTROL UNIT and used a bent putty knife to open the sides as there is NO PROOF on the M.E. control unit (NO MARKS) and closed it with
a special made vise grip tool (with soft jaws) as I used that tool with on prevs PORSCHES WITH THE DME control units
IT WORKS GREAT!!

Wouldn't a better representation shown RPM's as opposed to MPH? I'd rather know where peak HP is on the rpm range as opposed to speed.

This Dyno still (in my eyes) show a gain based off of the lowest HP rating of the base car and the highest HP (based on MPH) of the chipped car.

The 30HP claim seems kinda bogus to me.

I agree with you Fast_MB. A dyno showing HP to speed isn't the most accurate.
Graph HP to RPM (and in which gear) would be more accurate.

Sure it might *peak* upto 30HP for a brief moment, but how much does give on average?

I wouldn't believe the papers...you have to line up your chipped car with a non-chipped one to see the real world change...if any. I'm no automotive engineer but I do believe unless you modify the intake and exhaust...the chip will give you less than their claimed results. Just because one says it 'feels' faster doesn't mean it really is....the mind can and does plays tricks on you, especially when your sold on the thought it'll make your car faster. Just my 2 cents...

Thats exactly what I was going to ask....Many forced induction cars lend themselves easily to power when chipped cause all that you have to do is dial in more boost. Audis are known for that.

The Audi S4 and A6 2.7T, but already say 250hp, stock its more like 265...but chipped its around 310-340 depending on exhaust and induction setup. Yet drop a chip on an Audi A4 2.8 quattro, and you get a measily 8-10hp, and thats at redline almost. I dunno, but 8-10 even seems embelished to me, cause I couldn't ffeel the difference.

Just my thoughts.

I contacted Benzmac and my local Upsolute dealer re my non-kompressor 98 C230. They each said only about 10-15 hp max gain for my normal aspiro engine. Not worth it to me.
