Two stroke Detroit Diesels use either a compressor AND turbo or just a compressor. One of my 16-92's is being rebuilt and they have both. 4-53's had just a compressor. 71's could have both or just the compressor, I believe. It is possible that you could have any of these without either, but I have not seen them in marine applications.
