engine, dual overhead cams, vvt on the exhaust manifold. Sounds like an E320 engine doesn't it. It is GM's new inline six. Makes 270 hp. They put one in a Baja racing vehicle, get this 600 hp, 5 liter. hmmmm, wonder if my E320 would punch out to 5 liter

Just remember, that engine built for show. They only had to run it for the race. Also they didn't have to worry about emissions. I saw piece you mentioned on Speedvision this morning. Compare that to the over 1000hp BMW got out of a 4 cylinder with less than 1.8l displacement in one of their formula 1s and its not too impressive. Still it would have been fun to drive wouldn't it?

yea, the piece on tv

made the engine sound neat. It is going to be available in GM's mid-size suv's.

I don't think the production models will be anywhere near 500hp though. They mentioned that the one in the show would bear very little resemblence to the acutal production models.
