Just thinking out loud.
I drive the 300se for most times and I can't count the number of speeding tickets I have been presented every month! The legal speed limit here is 110 km/p. But with a 300se, and I'm sure with many other MBs, 110 km/p doesnt seem to be moving, or rather its like crawling at turtle pace! Dont you think the speed limit ought to be raised just as the standard of safety in most cars have been upgraded?

I have no problem with higher speed limits in light traffic, but around here it's time to thin the herd! In the Detroit Metropolitan area there are 3, 4 or more cars travelling in a tight pack at speeds from 50 mph on up to 80+.
The lead car taps the brakes instead of just lifting off the gas, the next actually presses on the brakes thinking the first is slowing down, and the rest have to jam 'em on! Last one loses to the chain reaction on the speedway loses! Modern cars will safely go 3 or so times the brain speed of the average driver. Yes, I'm cynical, but that's what I see every day.
