Here in california, there are laws too for tint.
The back windows can be as dark, but front and widshield arent supposed to be tinted at all. Here they give ya a fix it ticket if they catchyou with illegal tint. it gives ya like 30 days to fix it and then have it inspected. Personally I hate dark tint. the only tint I like is very light almost see through, but when driving it helps block some of the harshness of the sun. my car came with very light tint, so I am leaving it. too much of a hassle to remove it, though tint always ends of peeling, or bublling up. so at some point it has to be removed. Luckily mine is in fairly good condition. Alon

Window Tint in PA
Hi guys...
I've lived in the Pittsburgh, PA area for about 4~5 years with 2 cars with really dark window tint. I've been pulled over a dozens times for speeding, reckless driving, etc...but never gotten a ticket or even a warning for dark window tint. Also, in NY and some other Northeastern states, I've noticed that cops don't hassle you about window tint if you have an out-of-state license plate. Can anyone confirm this? Chuck |
