Carson, I believe they did. IIRC it was known as The Hammer. Someone on these forums have replicated one and posted pics too boot (either replicated or restored, can't recalled the details at the moment).

Yes, AMG did a produce a W124 wagon. It was never officially imported to the USA.

The magazine, "Mercedes Enthusiast" out of the UK, did an article on them, as well as the other AMG modified W124.

In short, AMG took the 3.6-liter M104 and stuffed them into the sedan, coupe, wagon, and convertible, along with suspension and brake changes. 99.99% of them were automatic, between 1993-1996. The Mercedes EPC also shows that AMG did 3.2 and 3.4 engines into the W124, but I haven't seen any in a wagon, just the sedan or coupe.

I needed a new engine on my wagon, so I located a 3.6-liter M104 from a 1995 C36, and transferred the entire drivetrain (engine, transmission, differential, computers, etc.). I also upgraded the suspension to 500E components for everday driving, and Sportline components for the track/autox, and 500E calipers all around, along with the master-cylinder and dual-diaphragm booster for the 500E.

A 1993+ facelift completes the package, along with a Brabus front & rear spoilers, and Brabus muffler.

I have a 5-speed MANUAL tranny waiting to be installed . . .

:-) neil

you can buy those two badges on ebay for about 30 dollars.

my son has a 300e AMG.... the previous owner debadged it and put the AMG emblem on it..

it's amazing how many people say to him... man you have a nice AMG....

he doesn't really give a rat's a... it's just a nice ride for him. i bought him some nice fake AMG pedals... so he's good to go.

ha-ha-ha AMG wagon.

AMG W124 wagon was called E36. 3.6L M104

Today's (in Europe) V-6 E320CDI (diesel) W211 wagon equals it for performance.
