What do you mean? Everything is laid out here that can be done to improve performance w/o a major outlay of cash. Beyond timing/linkage/air filter there isn't anything to do..just keep all the major systems in tip top shape.

Question

What are turbonator and cow magnets? And from where I can get them?
Another question, what do you think of adding naphthalene (like 5 balls) to the fuel tank?
Thanks : ))..

Is the big difference the Diff?

Are the differential ratios the same in the SEC and SEL? Something tells me the SEL is geared for lower rpms at highway speeds, which will of course make the SEC feel "peppier". If so, swapping to the higher ratio gears will give you better acceleration.

In Germany they love going for tuning chips - you might check the back of some German car magazines for ads by chip sellers. (Also, since Kuwait owns about 13% of Daimler, you might try calling Zetsche's office, telling him you're the next emir, and that you're pissed off your SEL doesn't perform like that AMG Hammer you once had. )

I don't think so. They have the same differential.

I think you have lost your mind on all of the above counts.

I think there is a lot of potential in the ignition timing if you understand all of the potential downsides (heat, pollution, gas quality, pinging). I've been wondering what a 420sel EZL would do in a 560. It seems to be electrically identical but the manual reads that it has more advance.
