Nothing subtle about that car.
I drove a stock 500E once and was just amazed how it could slice and dice traffic at 115 mph, the amazing cornering and braking too. Hit the go pedal at 80 mph and it GOES!! Probably a Brabus version is even better!!! Certainly, they are rare. I have never seen a W124 Brabus E500/500E. I never saw one without the Mercedes Star on the hood/trunk.

If it's anywhere as fun to drive as it is to look at, it must be as advertised ("=sex"). I'm not a fan of the E series MB's, but I have to admit I'd love to have that one.

In addition to everything else, the BALANCE of the E500 W126 is so right, it is almost as good as the BMW 540i or M5 - really they are that good, drive it hard and you'll be really inspired, everything, the suspension, brakes, drivetrain practically intuits your thoughts, you can really point and shoot those things, maybe its those Zuffennhausen Porsche genes coming into play.
The base W124, and to some extent, the E500 also, are nothing much in terms of WOW appeal to look at, but believe me they are real driver's cars, DAMN they get the job done. Very few people also know the E400 gets you a long way towards the thrills of the E500 without the cost of the 500. They are quite bulletproof too, and for a regular driver it would be tough to beat an E400...
