E320 195 W124 - Chipping / better low down torque?

Hi all.

Has anyone managed to get better low-range torque in the W124 E320 series of benz?

Having driven the W201, this is one of the improvements I saw.. and would like with my W124!

Is chipping the engine an answer? What do people suggest, and do you have details of people who can supply the requisite bits?
