I have a 190E 5sp and I was wondering how those of you who race or autocross handle heel and toeing? My foot doesn't twist very well to span the gap, and it doesn't help that I learned to heel and toe using the ball of my foot half on the brake and half on the gas. Has anyone found pedal covers that don't look like rice and actually help? Perhaps some BMW pedal covers might work since they have a hinged gas pedal too?
Thanks Darryl |

Here's what I did with mine.
1-remove the gas pedal 2-remove the rubber cover from the gas pedal 3-make an "extension plate" out of aluminum & mount it to the pedal 4 reinstall the pedal then "trim" the plate to fit your foot If you want to, you can get another pedal to do the mods on, so you can put the stock one back in when you sell the car. Just keep adjusting the shape & size of your plate until you are comfortable with the feel..... mine ended up looking like a backwards letter P. I'll try & post a pic to help. |

Hey Alain,
Beautiful collection of auto's! That is one impressive "grocery getter!" Some could only be so lucky to have such an errand runner. What sway bar did you use to improve on the front 28cm sway bar? I love the lines of the 500E's! Simply elegant and quite masculine. Thanks for sharing, Brian W. |

I have a set of three piece "Delsing Motorsports" F&R bars for the 190, but don't have all the pieces (for the rear one) yet.....
Right now I am using a 500e front sway bar on the front of the 190. I have a RennTech sway bar on the front of the 500e. Hopefully, nicer weather will be here soon, & the road crews will fix all the holes in the streets. I'm looking forward to putting the 18 inch monoblocks back on the 500! |
