300E Air Intake

I just installed an air intake on my 300E and it kicks ass. Really made more of a difference than I thought. Ill post pics later.

Proof is on a dyno, not "seat of the pants" metering.

Hey OG. What type of intake, where obtainable and how much $? What type of performance increase did you see? I have a '90 300E and would like some more power (wouldn't we all?).

Ive read alot of bad stuff about these after I went ahead and bought it, apparently its just a bad quality ebay buy but I definitely feel a gain in acceleration.

Great.

We'll all be waiting with baited breath (or at least pie on our breath) to hear the dyno results.

This could be a first . . . a dyno run with the OEM filter and then one without. Let's hope it buys a decent amount of HP

How did it do? I see that you've posted in other threads since Sunday, but nothing about your dyno. Post a pic of the dyno sheets (before & after) or you can e-mail them to me and I can post it. Pics of the intake would be a nice addition as well.

Suggest paying for dyno is throwing good money after bad.

I'd cut my losses.

In fact, I'd get a system that filters to prevent future losses.
