W123->W126 Brake Upgrades, what fits?

I am going to do this simple upgrade however I am a bit lost on compatible years. in 85 they increased the rotor size from ~280mm to 300mm. Do I need the larger or smaller to fit on my '83 euro W123?

Need some info on W123->W126 front brake upgrade.

In 85 the W126 went from ~280mm to 300mm. Does the larger rotor and caliper bolt on to the W123?

I've read alot of stuff on here and that seems to be the one missing key ingredient.

i dont know about the larger rotor, but the early 126 vented rotor bolts up to the 123. the caliper must be changed too. it would be a nice upgrade for a wagon.

my 280e euro ex ralley car has it.

I'm all ears! As soon as my slotted and diamond cut rotors wear out - I am on to this conversion...or a w126 conversion big brake kit...something!

Old searching has turned up using 560 parts will work

I used the 1986-91 W126 chassis brakes on my "euro" 280E. You will need the backing shields as well.

Brake discs, calipers, backing plates, & al least 15" wheels!

IF you want to stick to 14" wheels then use the 1981-85 W126 chassis brakes.
