Joreto.
Have the E85 alky fuel in mind.

As i´ve stated numerous times.
As long as you keep out of detonation...

I just placed an order with Mercedes of Beaconsfield for a Turbo Technics twin turbo kit.

The production figures were approximately:
50 conversions performed by them
25 conversion kits made for 3rd party installation (many still available, including lots for the M103)
These numbers were divided fairly evenly over the three different engines (3.0L M103, 3.0L M104, 3.2L M104).
Price for each kit is £1000, much better than Willy Mosselman's prices. Call +44 1494 672 141 and ask to speak to John Pearson. Tell him Brandon referred you.

I'll try to document the installation process when the kit arrives.
I'm still trying to build the 3.6L engine but if I don't have that sorted out in the next couple of weeks I'll just keep the engine in stock 3.2L trim.
Either way it shouldn't be too difficult to achieve 400hp.
If anyone has any questions please post them here and I'll try to answer them. If I have time this weekend I might try to transcribe the reviews John faxed to me.

Have you received your kit yet?
I just ordered the kit for the M103 and expecting it sometimes next week.
Incredible bargain, door to door it's costing me about $2700.00USD.
The turbos and the large bore exhaust are worth at least that much.
Appreciate your info as I was considering Mosselman and fortunately they have discontinued kits for M103 and M104.

Yep, my kit arrived last weekend. I went to my mechanic's today to check it out. LOTS of components in the kit. Mine worked out to AU$4600 door to door. It was the cubic weight from the exhaust system that meant I paid almost as much in freight as I did for the kit.

Oh yeah, the intercooler is tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny. Considering it mounts alongside the engine I'm not sure how much cooling it could possibly do.

I would hope that the intercooler was properly sized by TurboTechnics.
Locating on the frame rail next to the engine may provide better airflow and cooling then if it was mounted in the radiator area as Mosselman does.
Probably less engine heat in that area.
Agree without the exhaust the shipping would be much less, but it's still a tremendous value compared to last Mosselman price !
Do you intend on lowering your compression on the M104?
I'm installing on an M103 with the stock compression at 9.2:1, so I don't see any need to do any engine internals. I would think the boost would be in th 7-8 psi range.

Roman

That is some awsom craftsmanship. If I ever get another bussiness trip to Sweden I certainly would like to see this project. It's an inspiration to all of us. It makes my subframe modifications for my M120 107 look trivial. It even makes me want to build a E300 maybe a little more sedate but a nice unsuspecting sleeper in this country.

You did all of that fabrication yourself, Roman? I've never done a lot of welding, but the amount of thought and planning that went into that is amazing. If you did all the welding, too, I'm even more impressed. Modifying and bolting on improvements is one thing. Building them from scratch is something else altogether!

Thanks for all of the progress pictures.
