Look at what I got today..

Another 560, same year as my sec, even the mileage, 55300 miles, just a sel instead. Needs to take care of the A/C, valve cover gasket leak and alignment. Don't really need another car, just happen run into it, will see how long I am going to hang onto it.

Wow! Looks like it just came off the showroom floor! Nice find. Has it been sitting for a while or just rarely driven?

The car was just barely driven by the PO. He has no intention to sell this car when I ran into him at our indy. I kind of talked him into selliing his car to me over the past month or so. The car really looks good for its age and pretty comparable to my SEC. This car is in the shop now for the complete check up and have the valve cover gaskets replaced for sure. The plan is get it all clean up and drive it for a while and decide which one to keep. Both are really nice car with low mileage. Here are some interior pics.

Gotta love that reclining back seat! That's when Mercedes used to make the $80K+ price tag worth every penny.

Hey,have you got pics of your 560sec?I've just purchased one, with only 4500km on it,yes 4500km,which,I think is equal to a little under 4000 miles.I'll send you pics to your reg.email, because for some reason the sight won't take mine. They're jpegs but still won't download to the gallery, unless I did it wrong.Still new to the whole computer scene,so I may have. What's your reg.email?

Yeah, I'd like to see your SEC. If you decide to sell it and keep the SEL, I might want to buy it. I'm looking for one.

You done good on the SEL from the look of it.. Congrats! Where are you located BTW?

Nice one! Excellent color combination, too. What year was it, did you say?

I've got a question you all might think is stupid, but I believe the only stupid question,is the one not asked at all.
I've got this 88' 560sec,amg,euro. What is this first gear start thing a lot of you talk about? Is my car equipt with it? I haven't taken delivery of it yet.
My car is bone stock, and has nothing custom done to it at all.
Is this something you all added?I thought all automatics started off in 1st gear, anyways.Don't they?If not,and if it isn't in my car,it sounds like something I'd want to put in it.That beats putting it down into low 1 for fast starts. The car is completely loaded, and a grey market Euro car,not an American conversion or anything like that.If that info is relevent to the matter. Is first gear start a perminent everytime thing,or can you turn it off,and on like o/d,or traction control, with a button?
I'm sort of embarassed to even have asked any of this, but the 126's are new to me(sort of) and I've been in mostly 123,and 124 cars, and never got much into modifying Mercedes, except putting small block chevy w/t-56 six spd.into my 123 coupe. That doesn't count though, not really anything Merceds about the mechanical parts anymore, aside from the body, and suspension. Thanks in advance.

Wow that's the nicest W126 i've seen.. what's a low mileage 560SEL cost? Doesn't seem like the higher mileage ones go for squat. And Nik I believe your car will have 2nd gear start... I think MB figured the engine has enough torque, so why not make a smoother, no jolt start. Also helps for wet conditions. YOu can bypass this by putting the gear selector to "1" and then back to "D" (or leave it in 1 and shift yourself). I dont think many cars do this... I know the new MB's have a comfort mode that does this, and my father's 2000 Accord 4 cyl starts in 2nd gear I have noticed. Actually, you really notice the engine starts in 2nd gear on the Honda when you are loaded down with 5 people in total... poor engine lugs.
