Has anybody ever painted the hub of their rotors? If so what paint did you use? And how did you do it?

Thanks.

Do you mean like that? I like it too and have considered doing this with the rotor itself but I want it to look as good as these do. Please help us!

uhhh.. that looks like a sweet 2 piece rotor on hat design($$$$). The center section is most likely anodized. I have painted rotors before with high temp paint, they looked fine, but the paint peeled off where it mates with the rim. If you just want to keep the rust away, some places offer a zinc wash. They dip the whole rotor in it so it won't rust, even in the vanes.

Scotty thats exactly what I was looking for...I saw a guy over by Hofstra here in NY with a black 300E... the rotor center was painted with a sort off sick green (sick as in gross) it actually looked great! I was amazed. He had 17" BBS's on it looked like. I've been looking for that car ever since

Darryl are you saying that they sell them out of the box like this?

Not sure if you can get it just like that, I'm sure getting the center section or hat anodized will add more to the cost. Check out this page for the 2 piece rotors. http://www.ultimategarage.com/bbmerced.html

Check in your area for some one who does powder-coating. I have had several rotors done in black & it looks very good. Also the brake calipers can be done in same or contrasting color.
